OUR FACILITIES

We have been conveniently located in the heart of the West Shore at 324 Hummel Avenue, Lemoyne since 1895. We are two blocks from Interstate 83 with easy access to other major arteries in the Harrisburg area.

We are fourth generation owned and operated and our facilities are spacious, warm and comfortable with ample parking.

We have a children's room well stocked with toys, puzzles, art supplies and video tapes so younger members can be included in the family
gathering.

TESTIMONIALS

"Our family appreciated your sympathetic, but practical, help in making arrangements for my husband's funeral. We were comforted by how smoothly everything went for the visitation and services at the church and cemetery. Thank you for how accurately and quickly you processed the obituaries for both the Harrisburg and Rockford (IL) newspapers. Your wife's “Cream of Comfort” soup was confirmation that we had made the right choice to help us in a time of unreality."

Sincerely,
Margaret Christianson

Dear Mr. Musselman,

"I wanted to thank you for your kindness in handling my father's services. Also, please thank your wife for the delicious soup – it was such a treat on such a sad day."

Thank you again,
Lisa Scott

Dear Musselman Family,

"Just a short note to let you know your kindness is deeply appreciated. Thank you for the gift card for the balloons and the beautiful card. It is so nice to know that we are more than just customers to you. You care about us after business is finished. The card means so much as I approach the first year of Joseph's passing."

Sincerely,
Agnes Heck

OUR HISTORY

In 1895, Christian M. Musselman founded the C. M. Musselman Funeral Home at its present location in Lemoyne, to offer full services to West Shore and Harrisburg residents. Back then it was quite common to couple furniture stores with funeral parlors. So following this tradition of combined endeavors, Christian and his wife Marcella chose Hummel Avenue as their location.

Landis joined his parents to make the second generation to enter the field and the firm became known as C.M. Musselman & Son Funeral Home.

Landis and Ruth's sons David L. and Donald C. returned from the war and followed the family tradition. They continued in partnership as
Musselman Funeral Home until David's death in 1982.

In 1936 the furniture store was discontinued and Musselman's became strictly a funeral home. In 1943, Landis died in an auto accident and his widow Ruth managed the funeral home until the end of WW II.

Donald's two sons, Brian C. and Dane C. joined their father bringing Musselman Funeral Home, Inc. into its fourth generation. Donald died in 1997 and Brian purchased his brother's interest in the firm the same year.

Brian C. Musselman and his wife Barb Musselman continue to operate the family firm with the same progressive spirit of previous generations.
